About Jeanne

Human beings and nature are my inspiration

In different ways I try to find the following inner values in my work:

silence

turning within

inner strength

These are necessary to come to a new dimension, a new perspective.

In my form-language I try to bring about the move of turning back by means of double-curved planes. In this way a space is created within and around my sculptures. Thus a meeting can take place with the essence, the higher value, or whatever you'd like to call it.

I am constantly searching for positivity, inner beauty, but also for the monumental in human beings.

You'll be able to recognize the following themes in my work:

The ability to experience vulnerability as a strength in a protected environment.
Accepting and surrendering to the concept of dying - in letting go, a new space will be created.
Prostration to the forces of nature and the acceptance of them.
Being mentally prepared to the concept of dying, the belief of good and the struggle to let the body go.
To give and to take and balance between them.
Love - unity of two to unity of one and continuation of it.

I am creating abstract sculptures since 1988 and make use of the following materials:

Portland cement, clay, plaster, bronze, copper, granite, Carrara-marble and Rosa do Monte Pelido-marble, recently in leaded glass.

Already created:

monumental marble and bronze sculptures for public buildings and institutes.
grave-side memorials
garden sculptures
other sculptures sold at exhibitions
